When Cliff Richard and his pals set off in their infamous double decker bus little did they realise they were part of a revolution in holiday making which took place over the course of a decade. This one hour film tells the story of 1960s Britain through how we spent our holidays. Based on personal testimonies and often hilarious archive footage we'll re-live the highs and the lows of the great 1960s British holiday – from knobbly knees contests to holiday romance, from wet weekends to Lear Jets and from sun breaks to sun burn.
